Minnie & Duke
Livestock Guardian Puppies born 12-20-2024
Minnie
Minnie is our 3 year old Great Pyrenees. She comes from a line of Livestock Guardians who protect flocks of sheep in the Little Snowy Mountains in Montana.
She spends her time with our sheep, chickens, and ducks. Although she is bonded with our family, Minnie has no problem protecting her flock by running off coyotes or dispatching a very unlucky raccoon, opossum, or skunk.
Minnie is the Queen of our farm.
Duke
Duke is our 10 month old Karakachan/Akbash. Duke gets his size from the Akbash and his coloration from the Karakachan. Our Duke is significantly larger and thicker than Minnie. He is well over 100lbs and still growing. He is fiercely loyal, attentive, and a much better "listener" than Minnie.
While Minnie has spent much of the winter in the maternity barn, Duke has become a Hero to our flock of sheep. On one of the coldest mornings of the winter one of our ewes had a lamb. To alert us of his new charge, Duke barked incessantly and ran from the gate to the lamb until we came to warm the chilled lamb. Without Duke's alert, we would not have found the lamb in time.
We have been pleased with Duke and are confident that the pups will exhibit positive characteristics of both dam and sire.

*** These dogs are working livestock guardian dogs. They will be GREAT family companions, but these are NOT house dogs. They will live their best lives as livestock guardians who receive human love and affection
## The puppies have been wormed three times and have received their first round of shots!

Harry is Male. 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Harry is playful and inquisitive. He displays many traits of the Great Pyrenees, slightly aloof to people but very active with his siblings and the other animals in the barn.
Harry was 21 lbs on February 20th.

Ron is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Ron is a cuddler. He LOVES getting pets from his people and playing with anyone. He is an explorer and wanders throughout the barn.
Newt
Newt
Newt is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Newt is sleepy and cuddly. He likes to eat, and play, and nap. He is always interested in other animals in the barn. He spends most of his awake time with the pigs, chickens, goats, and bunnies.
Newt was 20.5 lbs on February 20th.

Dudley is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Dudley Loves his people. He is fearless and will follow his people anywhere including the outside, the lambing barn, and the chicken coop. He is assertive with the ewes and unimpressed with the posturing of the roosters.
Dudley was 21.5lbs on February 20th.

Luna is Female - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Luna is very active and affectionate. She is the first to the food bowl and the first to greet us as we walk into the barn. She is a fearless explorer and a natural protector.
Luna was 18 lbs on February 20th.

Ginny is Female - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Ginny is inquisitive, attentive, and playful. She is interested in new animals and is one of the first to greet us at the barn door. She has an inherent toughness that allows her to hold her own with her larger brothers.
Ginny was 17 lbs on February 20th.

Hagrid is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Hagrid is becoming one of the leaders of the group. He is patient and mindful. He does not pile on the food bowl or on Minnie. When he plays, he plays hard.
SOLD - Draco has found his new home. He will be protecting a family in Illinois.
Draco is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Draco is playful and independent, he can often be found playing with a toy without his siblings. He is stoic and gentle in his interactions with other puppies and animals.
SOLD - We are happy to announce Neville is going to a great family!
Neville is Male - 1/2 Great Pyrenese, 1/4 Karakachan, 1/4 Akbash.
Neville is always watching. He is affectionate and calm, comfortable snuggling and playing with his people. He has an easygoing personality.
